Originally from McLean, Virginia, Mark Graduated from the University of Richmond with 10 years of combined Technology and Federal defense/commercial Cybersecurity experience. Started his career straight out of college with Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Federal Practice in Washington D.C. / Northern Virginia as a Cyber Risk Consultant. His career focused on strategy and implementation of the NIST 800 Series, ISO/IEC 27000 Series, HIPAA Compliance, PCI Compliance, FISMA, DISA STIGs, on various platforms and applications, hardware and software levels respectively. His interests in technology encompass, RMF, Cloud, and Machine Learning/Automation. His passion for technology started at the age of 12 when he built his first computer and learned how to optimize his home network so he could play computer games with the best latency. In his free time, he loves spending time outside (especially at the beach), playing sports, cycling, hiking, or is with his Belgian Malinois Luminosity XXVII (Lumi) doing Protection and Search & Rescue training. He also loves traveling and is a huge foodie.
